WEST TOWN—Tomorrow marks Two's first anniversary, meaning the farm-sourced restaurant has already been open much longer than its predecessor, The Black Sheep. They're celebrating the occasion with specials available Thursday through Sunday: half-priced cocktails and draft beers with food purchase and a $10 pulled pork special made with two suckling pigs from Swan Creek Farms. BARODA, MICHIGAN—If you're heading out of town on Labor Day weekend, check out the Check, Please Farm to Table Festival on September 1. Meet more than 20 chefs (including Michael Kornick, John Manion and Matt Troost), nearly 20 Michigan farmers, and winemakers, coffee roasters, distillers, and brewers. Click here for tickets. DALEY PLAZA—Continuing the farm theme, this year's Country Chef Challenge happens Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Daley Plaza. Jared Van Camp, Beverly Kim, and Thai Dang will compete in front of a live audience to see which can create the best dish sourced from the Daley Plaza farmers market. Dale Levitski won last year.
