Taste of the Nation Back to Fight Childhood Hunger

After raising hundreds of thousands of dollars in recent years to attempt to stamp out childhood hunger, Taste of the Nation is back for another round on August 14. And just like recent years, event chairs have booked a knockout lineup of superstar local chefs to make sure donors and attendees don't go hungry by filling up on some of the best food Chicago restaurants have to offer.

This year's affair already has Stephanie Izard, Bill Kim, Mindy Segal, Ryan Poli, Sarah Grueneberg, Jared Van Camp, and more on the books. A who's who list of other restaurants have also signed on to participate, including Acadia, Topolobampo, Paris Club, L20, and The Bristol. Also expect knockout cocktails, as Charles Joly, Adam Seger, and Cristiana Delucca are among a group of more than 25 of the city's top mixologists in attendance.

The whole event takes place at the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier and benefits Share Our Strength. Tickets start at $125 and are available here. Nearly 2,000 people are expected to attend.
