Back in April, Tim Graham announced his departure from Lettuce Entertain You and his plan to open Travelle in mid-July. Right on schedule, the River North spot will open on July 17 with a seafood-heavy, Mediterranean influenced menu.
The menu is expansive, and divided into multiple sections. Starters include everything from the lavish seafood elevations including things for shucking (various oysters and clams), things for peeling (choices of shrimp) and lobster, to a variety of crudo, caviar, cheese and charcuterie.
Main dishes include suckling pig; salmon with garlic clam fregula; and english pea risotto. The restaurant also offers a bar menu with some of the same dining room selections (starters, flatbreads) as well as a selection of sandwiches, also offered at lunch.
