It may have been a few years since the buzz of a possible Brooklyn Bowl , the uber popular New York entertainment venue, surfaced. The original plan was for the venue to occupy a space in the East Village, but the project eventually died due to the expense of soundproofing and environmental remediation. Owner Peter Shapiro promised back in October 2011, that "Chicago Bowl will happen, it's just a matter of when and where." Well it looks like the where is now established, as Crain's reports a location will be coming to the West Loop. As for when, that's still to be determined.
The map shows that Brooklyn Bowl, likely to be called Chicago Bowl, will be attached or relatively close to an unnamed hotel directly across the street from The Publican, in the Fulton Market area. The hotel will join the already under construction Soho House and a strongly rumored Nobu hotel and restaurant on Randolph. Not to mention all of the highly-acclaimed restaurants in the area. More details to come.
