Baume & Brix Closing Saturday and Reconcepting

Following co-executive chef Ben Roche's exit, 312 Dining Diva is reporting that Baume & Brix will close following service Saturday night. It will reopen sometime down the line with a new name and concept to be finalized next week, partner Steve Tavoso says in the report.

Baume & Brix opened with a high-profile chef duo of Ben Roche and Thomas Elliott Bowman, who masterminded a progressive culinary concept. The Grid, an underground bar with a separate entrance from the same team, opened soon after. Despite menu changes at both places, the concept and partnership with ownership just didn't work out.

Bowman says he and chef de cuisine Nate Park are still at Baume & Brix and are "going to rock out one last great week here." Look for something new in the space soon.
