After much delay (originally slated to open in February) and a whole lot of anticipation, endgrain will open its doors tomorrow at 7 a.m. Chef Enoch Simpson (Girl and The Goat, Green Zebra) focuses his menus on casual American food, serving brunch, dinner and all-day options. Fans of Enoch's Donuts are in luck as endgrain will serve them every morning, along with La Colombe coffee. With flavors like bacon butterscotch and Nutella milkstout, chances are they won't be available past the early morning hours.
The menus below, which have changed a bit since they were originally released in January, still focus on comfort foods with international influence including a variety of handpies, fried chicken and biscuit sandwiches.
The space itself is simple yet beautiful with custom woodwork found throughout, courtesy of chef Simpson's brother Caleb. The bar itself is made of over 3,000 pieces of reclaimed lumber. Sunlight peers in through the various windows, giving the spot a warm, inviting feel.
Endgrain is closed on Mondays but is open until 10:30 p.m. the rest of the week.
