The visiting chef trend that's been sweeping Chicago is extending to yet another restaurant. Starting next month, The Peninsula will host the first of its Peninsula Chef Series dinners featuring Lee Wolen, Chef de Cuisine at The Lobby, along with a roster of renowned Chicago chefs.
The monthly dinners will include five courses focused on a central theme, the first of which takes place on Monday, July 8 with Giuseppe Tentori, Executive Chef at GT Fish & Oyster and BOKA Restaurant, who will be preparing a special seafood-centric menu. Following dinners will spotlight Andrew Zimmerman of Sepia, Ryan Poli of Tavernita and Little Market Brasserie, and Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia who will close out the series with a truffle-themed dinner.
Pricing for the first three events will be $85 for dinner, with optional beverage pairings offered for $25. The final dinner on October 28 will be priced at $125, with a wine pairing available for an additional $45. All event ticket prices will include a complimentary cocktail and hors d'oeuvres prior to dinner. Tickets can be reserved by calling (312) 573 6695 or by emailing diningpch@peninsula.com.
A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will be donated to Common Threads, a non-profit organization geared to help provide education about healthy food choices through the power of cooking. Visit Peninsula.com for more information.
