Progress has hit critical mass at Mott Street, the new project from the Ruxbin team in the former MC Bistro space. Slated to open tomorrow, the exterior is the recipient of a shiny new candy apple red paint job (and some Schwa stickers at one point). A mahogany-colored wood fence, despite enduring a touch of graffiti, has sprung up on the Ashland side of the property. Behind that fence a three-level patio space has been decorated with strings of lights and patio furniture is stashed in the corner. The design will reportedly have a "utilitarian" feel with salvaged furniture making up the 104 seats.
Construction and staff meetings have been near-continuous and linen deliveries are coming in, signaling an opening of the night-market-themed restaurant is here. The Time Out Chicago story lists some menu items you'll find at tomorrow's opening.
