A lot of people won't be eating good in the neighborhood anymore. Eight Chicagoland Applebee's are closing up shop, with more shutterings possibly on the way. The local franchisee, AppleIllinois LLC, has fallen on hard times and recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. There's 33 total in the area. [Tribune]
