Nanobrewery Planned for Bridgeport

Another craft brewery is in the works, but this one is even smaller than a microbrewery. Dubbed a "nanobrewery," Marz Brewing will be a tiny brewery and tap room that serves pale ales, India pale ales, ambers, stouts and porters, according to DNAinfo. Right now it's in a "secret location" in Bridgeport that will be revealed closer to the opening date.

DNAinfo describes a nanobrewery as an "amped-up home brewing system." A charity "community beers" series is in the works as well as an "alchemy series" for barrel-aged beers using unique ingredients. The Marz Brewing space will also be a "business incubator" for home brewers. The co-owners of Maria's Community Bar (960 W. 31st St.) are behind the project.
