Innjoy Owners Opening New Spot in Logan Square

A new spot from a Wicker Park mainstay is coming to a stretch of Milwaukee that sources say is about to see an explosion. Rich Kewitz, GM of the family-run eclectic bar and eatery Innjoy, says the team is working on another location in the former home of Daddy Cool's on 2200 N. Milwaukee in Logan Square. Daddy Cool's barely made it seven months, closing "for the season" in November never to reopen. Innjoy has stood on Division for 12 years and is still going strong with lines down the block on Friday and Saturday nights.

The new spot has the working name Madison Public House and will be similar to Innjoy, being eclectic enough to conform to the Logan Square demographic without being pigeonholed. Kewitz says it will "evolve with the neighborhood" like Innjoy did, saying the Logan Square customers have "sophisticated taste with a small budget." Look for similar food and beverage options with a couple wrinkles like more vegetarian items, food and drink deals, 20 taps, streaming concerts, 80s music, skateboard videos, video games, and more.

The space will also have a large beergarden that can be used for all sorts of events and concerts. The maligned Congress Theater is across the street and the Blue Line is two blocks away. Expect it to open in early summer and much more to hit Logan Square very soon.
