A new vegan spot, Kitchen 17, is coming to Lakeview in two weeks in the former home of Matto Fornaio at 613 W. Briar. Serving Mediterranean and Asian dishes, the atmosphere will feel more like a deli with sit-down tables. The owner hopes for sidewalk seating, BYOB, and live music in the future. [Patch]
