It's hard to not think of the beach when there's such a gorgeous summer-esque day outside. This year, there's a new revamped dining option available on the beach to take advantage of days like these. Caffe Oliva, in its second year, is opening its first full season on May 9 (weather permitting) with a revamped Mediterranean-style sustainable menu. The concept that opened mid-summer last year is run by the team behind The Dock at Montrose Beach, but this year they brought on Grass Fed partner Josh Schonfeld to overhaul the food and beverage program.
The menu now features fresh Mediterranean fare like lollipop wings, grilled calamari, five burgers with grass fed meat, and a chopped Greek-style salad. Schonfeld says that the space won't even have a freezer (except for ice cream and gelato), meaning everything they serve better be fresh. For beverages, Caffe Oliva will now have cocktails on tap. Look for a "Myers Mojito," "Knockout Lemonade," nine draft brews and a full wine list. Private event menus and packages are now available too.
It should all be available for a try around next weekend in the only spot in town with cabanas on the beach.
