Drink Bordeaux on the Willis Tower Skydeck; Bridgeport Italian Deli Reopens

LOOP—If you're stuck in Chicago's never-ending winter and can't vacation to the world's wine capital, at least you can attend "A Goldmine of Planet Bordeaux Wines" on April 19 from 5-8 p.m. at Skydeck Chicago. BRIDGEPORT—Old school, family-run Soluri & Sons Italian Deli reopened last week at 3549 S. Halsted after a five-year run in the early 1990's at a different location. The menu has just seven sandwiches, each held together by fresh baked bread from D'Amato's Bakery, in addition to homemade sausages and sides and imported Italian meats and cheeses. [DNAInfo]

WEST LOOP—Husband and wife chef team Beverly Kim and Johnny Clark will be participating in Embeya's bimonthly Asian Soup Guest Chef series on April 25. Kim and Clark, who are currently working on opening their own restaurant, will be preparing their take on Korean seaweed soup. GOLD COAST/LOOPRoseBud Prime and Rosebud Steakhouse have issued an updated happy hour menu featuring dressed-up sliders and new craft cocktails and brews. At $4 a pop, sliders range from traditional mini-burgers with cheddar and caramelized onions to a refined, poached lobster take finished with fennel, watercress, and mint.
