The Fifty/50 Team Opening Cocktail Lounge and Second West Town Bakery Inside ACME Hotel

With the five year anniversary of The Fifty/50 happening this week, Greg Mohr and Scott Weiner (also Roots Handmade, Homestead) are still going strong. They're now jumping into the hotel hospitality game, readying two more concepts to open up inside the ACME Hotel in early June: A craft cocktail bar (The Berkshire Room) and a second location of West Town Bakery.

The Berkshire Room is named after The Berkshire Hotel, which stood in the location from the 1920s until the 1950s. It'll take design elements from the era and marry in contemporary wrinkles, seating 70. The beverage program is still under development, but craft cocktails, craft beers and wines will be available.

The West Town Bakery will be similar to the original Chicago Avenue location, led by executive pastry chef Chris Teixeira (Sixteen) who took over the original location in January. They'll serve locally organic pastries, baked goods, grab-and-go sandwiches, Passion House Coffee Roasters coffee and espresso, and juices.

There will be more to come on the project in the coming weeks before the June opening.
