The 17th annual Girl Food Dinner at West Town Tavern is coming up next month, and this year's event will feature Found chef Nicole Pederson for the second time. The dinner, which features an all-female-chef lineup, has raised over $193,000 over the last 16 years for the Chicago Food Depository. Chef Susan Goss, who auditioned for Check, Please today, has masterminded the events for the duration and will take part.
The rest of this year's lineup of participating chefs are Priscila Satkoff (Salpicon), Laura Piper (Trattoria 10), and Jessica Oloroso (Black Dog Gelato). Pederson's course will be poached sturgeon with spring mushroom conserva, pea tendrils, ramps; Goss will prepare braised CDK angus oxtail with crispy potato cake and preserved meyer lemon. The dinner will take place on April 14 at 5:30 p.m., tickets cost $150. Click here to attend and help the needy.
