Bulerias Tapas Moving and Expanding in Spring

Bulerias Tapas Bar is getting bigger. The Southport neighborhood tapas spot is moving to a new location, 3656 N. Ashland, within two months. The original location will close when the new space is complete, owner Mariena Briceno says.

Three blocks away in the former Hidalgo Auto Repair, Bulerias will have two floors to dish up Spanish small plates and sangria. It'll house 80 seats, including bar areas on each floor, plus patio seating at April's end. The menu and decor won't change, just the size. Open late, including 2 a.m. on weekends, live music and flamenco dancing will reverberate in the evenings. They'll serve lunch everyday and brunch on summer weekends. It should be hopping in April.
