Look out North Shore, there's a big new concept coming. A group of four big Glencoe businessmen, including Homemade Pizza CEO Eric Fosse and led by Phil Marienthal, are opening Guildhall in the middle of March. There's also a big chef attached—Christian Ragano, formerly of Tru and NoMI Kitchen. Marienthal describes the cuisine as "seasonal American" with touches of international influences. Look for seasonal and locally-sourced meats, vegetables, and a raw bar at reasonable prices. They'll open only for dinner at first, with other meals coming down the line. Large wine and craft beer lists will accompany the food.
The 3000 square-foot space is designed by 555 International, who's myriad of high-profile local projects include Boka Group's Girl & the Goat and GT Fish & Oyster. They're rehabbing the building and acquiring furnishings to highlight the historic space. More to come in the next few weeks.
