LOOP - The 8th Annual For the Love of Chocolate Gala is February 23rd, care of the French Pastry School. This year, just like last year, there will be lots of chocolate-y regalia including a Dessert Dance Party and the dramatic apex of the evening, the Cocoa Couture Fashion Show.

GOLD COAST - Now that the Famous Rush Street Starbucks has moved to make way for Madewell, the store has enough room (plus skylights and a balcony) to sell flatbreads and booze. We found out today, this will not be the fate of Starbucks at Piper's Alley--for a looong time.

GOLD COAST - For months Madewell has been renovating the interior of the previous home of Rush Street Starbucks. And though it seems to be taking a lot longer to open than expected, we've finally got an opening date.

GOLD COAST - Legendary vintage clothier Lulu's at the Belle Kay is opening a second location in The Shops at 900 on the third floor. Opening on March 5, you'll find an unparalleled selection of jewelry from the 1920's through the 1980's and a slew of contemporary accessories like supple Italian leather totes from Chicago-based custom handbag company Laudi Vidni.
