Spanglish Open; Sauce & Bread Kitchen Opening March 2

SOUTH LOOP—After 19 months of coming soon signs, Spanglish Mexican Kitchen finally opened at 555 S. State over the weekend. The casual quick-service Mexican eatery serves an array of tacos, tostadas, fajitas, and breakfast to hungry Columbia College and Roosevelt students. [Sloopin]

EDGEWATERSauce & Bread Kitchen, from the folks behind Coop Hot Sauce and Crumb, is almost set to open for brunch on 6340 N. Clark. They'll serve an array of goodies, including house-brined turkey sandwiches, house-made ricotta, rhubarb toaster tarts, and many desserts. [Dish]

LAKEVIEWSenza is hitting on all cylinders, and are now launching a bakery service inside the space. The gluten-free restaurant will offer a wide selection of breads, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. [EaterWire]

RIVER NORTH—In an addition to the brunch post earlier in the day, Sable will be kicking off a new brunch program on Saturday. Dishes include Maine lobster frittata and sweet corn tamales with pumpkin seed mole. For drinks, they're offering "Fog-Cutter" (light rum, brandy, dry gin, orange, Orgeat and cream sherry) and five types of bloody marys. [EaterWire]
