New Rebozo Coming to the City

New, 1 comment

Oak Park Mexican standout New Rebozo is opening a sister restaurant on 46 E. Superior in the spring. The original Oak Park location (1116 Madison) has been featured in the Tribune, Sun Times, and Check Please throughout the years, blending classic Mexican cuisine with some twists. Owner Reena Lopez is coy about the specifics, but she says the new location will feature a "very different menu."

A few details are known right now: The menu will have a selection of mole, their signature pomegranite special, and other entrees that are most in demand at the Oak Park outpost. There will be a bar, serving their agave margaritas and the same drink specials, but it "will work differently." The space is under construction and is "close to the same size." A major factor in the expansion is the majority of their Oak Park clientele work in the city and have been clamoring for it.

Lopez is keeping the majority of the details under wraps, but much more will come out before they open in the spring.
