Tasting Table Debuts Open Market This Weekend

Tasting Table will debut their Open Market this weekend at Block 37. Featuring more than 30 vendors on Friday and over 40 on Saturday, it's a veritable who's who of the best in Chicago's food scene.

Friday's kick off features Travelle's Tim Graham serving up saganaki wings and Acadia's pastry chef Thomas Raquel will have caramelized coconut alfajores and caneles on hand. Other notables in attendance will be Bang Bang Pie Shop, Smalls Smoke Shack, Blackbird, La Sirena Clandestina and Mott St. to name a few.

Come back Saturday for a Portuguese pork sandwich (bifana) from Fat Rice and sample food from Lillie's Q, Nellcote, Spiaggia, Do-Rite Donuts, and many more.

Also, G&C Pantry Co. from Carriage House's Mark Steuer will be on hand both days with hot sauces (sweet potato, smoke jalapeno) along with cold fried chicken and jalapeno cornbread with pickles.

Tickets for each day are $5 ($8 day of; one drink ticket) for general admission and $30 for VIP ($35 day of; four drink tickets and an hour earlier access) and can be purchased here.
