The Chicago Department of Health has claimed another restaurant victim. Sun Wah Bar-B-Que, an Uptown Chinese staple, was closed by the city yesterday. DNAinfo reports that an inspector found 10 live roaches, litter, and dead insects in the restaurant.
Reached by phone, partner Laura Cheng says they're setting up an appointment for reinspection. "We're working with the city and hoping to reopen by Friday," she says. "But it depends on when the health inspectors come back."
The health department temporarily shut down Sun Wah in 2010 as well.
