Donut Fest Tix On Sale Monday; Harold's Chicken Shack Coming To Evanston; More

WICKER PARK—Attention lovers of doughnuts (or people still looking to buy a foodie something for the holidays)! Donut Fest tickets go on sale Monday, December 23 at noon. VIP tickets are $45 and gain the holder early access to the fest and some extra special goodies, while GA tickets are $30 (there's some goodies for you folks as well). EVANSTON—Evanstonians can expect an outpost of Harold's Chicken Shack at 337 Howard St. as early as March. The shack should seat about ten people and owner Illy Roberts (who operates two other Harold's Chicken Shacks) plans to be open daily from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. [Patch]

STREETERVILLE—Bellwether will begin serving brunch on Sunday, December 29 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. [EaterWire]

SOUTH LOOP—Speaking of brunch, City Tavern's recently announced executive chef, Amanda Barnes, has unveiled her new brunch menu (Sundays, 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.) Guests can choose an entree (such as the foie and bacon English muffin sandwich with maple syrup) and bottomless champagne or mimosas for $25.
