Blaze Pizza is now open for business in the former Never Mind space in Lakeview (near the Belmont CTA station).
The pizza chain, which allows you to "co-create" an 11-inch pizza from over forty sauces, veggies, meats and cheese for an average price of $7.00, promises that their pies come out of their ovens within three minutes.
According to executive chef Brad Kent, utilizing an assembly line, much like Chipotle or Potbelly, cuts the typically long wait for a pizza. The restaurant is "all about letting folks enjoy custom-built artisanal pizzas at freakishly fast speed," Kent says.
In addition to pizza (for which Blaze also offers gluten-free crust and vegan cheese), Blaze Pizza offers salads, lemonades, beer & wine, as well as S'more Pies.
Come in tomorrow, December 20, and show that you have "liked" Blaze Pizza on Facebook to receive a free pie between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The California chain has confirmed two more Chicago locations in 2014, one at 555 W. Madison St., and another at 227 E. Ontario St. Levy Family Partners are planning to develop fifteen stores in total.
