The Brixton in Andersonville is now open. The restaurant ran its first service earlier this week and executive chef Kevin McMullen says things have gone smoothly overall. "The people in the neighborhood have had very positive things to say so far about the food and cocktails. Everyone loves the space."
McMullen's menu (which can be viewed in full below), features a selection of bar bites (an "always changing" jerky, popcorn with bacon powder, sambal and chives), small plates (sweetbreads, crab dip), and larger plates (The Brixton Burger, octopus). The restaurant also features a healthy spirits program.
The 80-seat space (which will have a renovated patio next spring for more seating) has seen its share of turnover the past couple of years, so here's to that early word growing for the team.
