One facet of Charlie Trotter's legacy that can be understated are the handful of cookbooks the iconic chef wrote. Over on Eater National, food writer Regina Schrambling goes deep into his publishing archives. Schrambling writes that "as with everything he did, the books were revolutionary." On his first book, "Charlie Trotter's," Schrambling pens that it "showcased ingredients and techniques and combinations way ahead of their time" and that "many of these full-page photos would almost look at home in Modernist Cuisine." Do take a minute and read the whole thing.
