Art Smith is bringing a whole lot of bourbon and ham to the Gold Coast in the "very near future." The celebrity chef, restaurateur and TV personality is building out a space at Table Fifty-Two to showcase bourbon and gastropub fare.
Smith says the concept will be similar to his Southern Art and Bourbon Bar in Atlanta, which is among The Bourbon Review's top 55 bourbon bars in the country. He says they'll serve more than 75 bourbons (including some in barrels made for them) and that they're hiring a "star mixologist."
The food menus will focus on "casual gastropub" fare, he says. The space will also feature an artisan ham bar, another feature he has in Atlanta, serving "20 of the best artisan cured hams in America." An exact opening timeframe is unknown now—stay tuned.
