The Cook County Medical Examiner reached a decision on the cause of Charlie Trotter's death: a stroke caused by high blood pressure. The result was delivered in a statement today that also says that neither drugs, alcohol, or travel played a part.
The famed chef passed away suddenly on Nov. 5. Reports later surfaced of an inoperable brain aneurysm, the initial autopsy was inconclusive, and his widow Rochelle released a statement in hopes of clearing up the circumstances surrounding his death. Today's news should clear it up more.
