MUSEUM CAMPUS—The Field Bistro is now open inside the Field Museum. Though he won't have a hand in the menu, Fountainhead's Cleetus Friedman is helping the restaurant navigate local vendors, ensuring that the best, locally sourced product is found. The Field Bistro has also collaborated with Off Color Brewing for the beer Tooth and Claw, an homage to Sue, the Field Museum's T-Rex. The beer's tap handle is a cast replica of Sue's actual claw. MORTON GROVE—Burt's Place, the famed restaurant from pizza legend Burt Katz, is back in business. Katz, who spent the last three months recuperating from an illness that brought on multiple organ failure, will be making pizza only during evening hours (4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m.) for the time being. Make sure to call ahead to both ensure the restaurant is open and to place your order. [Morton Grove Champion]
SOUTH LOOP—Speaking of pizza, the newest Giordano's location is open for business in the South Loop (1340 S. Michigan). [Sloopin]
