Last Bennigan's in Chicago to Shutter

The end of an era is coming to The Loop, as the last Bennigan's in town will shutter on December 16 due to a rent hike. In business for 27 years across from the Art Institute, it was the last Chicago location standing after the Irish pub-themed restaurant chain filed for bankruptcy in 2008. More refined options like The Gage and Terzo Piano now cater to the area.
