FULTON MARKET—A Grant Achatz tweet hinted that Next may have a "steakhouse" iteration in 2014. In other Achatz news (everything's coming up Achatz this week), USA Today inexplicably dubbed Alinea one of the 10 spots where the locals eat in Chicago. [Twitter/USA Today]

WEST LOOP—Kabocha has rolled out a revamped menu featuring new entrees including one of Shin Thompson's Bonsoiree favorites, "Duck, Duck, Goose" (duck confit, duck breast, foie gras, rosti potato and gooseberry jam), and "Wagyu Zabuton Short Rib" (60 hour braise, mocha spaetzle, parsnip, "death mustard"). WICKER PARK—This Tuesday join Trenchermen for a six-course dinner paired with wines from Turner Pageot. Winemaker Emmanuel Pageot will be in attendance for the Languedoc dinner created by chef Pat Sheerin, see the menu here. Reservations can be made by calling 773-661-1540, seats are $95 per person (tax and tip is extra) and the evening begins at 7 p.m. with passed hors d'oeuvres. [EaterWire]

RIVER NORTH—Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is offering a special Tomahawk steak dinner for two for $99. From now until November 15, guests receive a choice of French onion soup or new wedge salad, can share a 35 oz Tomahawk steak for two paired with gorgonzola and mascarpone brulee, sweet onion bacon jam and cabernet mustard, and either a glass of Ladera Cabernet Sauvigno or a side of rosemary and garlic cipollini onions.
