FULTON MARKET—A Grant Achatz tweet hinted that Next may have a "steakhouse" iteration in 2014. In other Achatz news (everything's coming up Achatz this week), USA Today inexplicably dubbed Alinea one of the 10 spots where the locals eat in Chicago. [Twitter/USA Today]

WEST LOOP—Kabocha has rolled out a revamped menu featuring new entrees including one of Shin Thompson's Bonsoiree favorites, "Duck, Duck, Goose" (duck confit, duck breast, foie gras, rosti potato and gooseberry jam), and "Wagyu Zabuton Short Rib" (60 hour braise, mocha spaetzle, parsnip, "death mustard").
