David Stingola's idea of a rare Italian diner, one to honor the cooking of his great aunt, is no more. But another diner-esque restaurant is moving into a space that's been home to diners for 30 years, and this one is anything but rare.
Another Yolk is coming to 501 W. Diversey, first reported by Chicago Real Estate Daily, and it takes the place of Isabel's Restaurant. It will be the fifth location of the breakfast and brunch chain. Isabel's opened in January and lasted for roughly nine months on the Lincoln Park/Lakeview border; it shuttered in early October. The Grove, another diner, was in business at the address for nearly three decades prior.
The opening timeframe for the latest Yolk is unknown at this time.
