The Dawson, the grandiose "drinking-focused restaurant" from Billy Lawless, Branko Palikuca, Rene De Leon and Clint Rogers, is set to open on Friday. The interior and exterior is now complete with decor and buildout meant to emulate the Dawson Brothers Factory, built in 1888 and located just north on Halsted. Brick peeks through plaster on the walls, both dining rooms feature small booths and large communal tables, wood beams line the ceilings. Both floors are connected by a large atrium stairwell on the west end, the expansive patio centers around brick, including on the outdoor fireplace.
