Online voting for the 2013 Jean Banchet Awards has begun and is open to the public until Monday, October 28. There are 12 categories to nominate the best in the Chicago restaurant world (chef of the year, rising chef, pastry chef, best mixologist and more).
The top four names in each category will make the final ballot, which will be voted on by people in the culinary industry by secret ballot.
The categories of best restaurant service and best restaurant design are new this year, while the category of best catering company has been axed. The Jean Banchet Awards for Culinary Excellence will be held on Friday, January 31 at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Grand Chefs Gala.
