Chef Battle: Dessert Edition at Kendall College; Vera Turns Two; More

KENDALL COLLEGE—Chicago Public Media will hold the first-ever Chef Battle: Dessert Edition this Wednesday, October 23 (7 p.m. until 10 p.m.) at Kendall College. Dana Cree (Blackbird), Dinah Grossman (Cheap Tart Bakery), Ben Roche (formerly of Moto), Jessica Oloroso (Black Dog Gelato), and Jonathan Ory (Bad Wolf Coffee) are competing, with Niala Boodhoo hosting. BUCKTOWN—Chef Matthew Accarrino of Michelin-rated SPQR will be The Bristol's guest on Sunday, October 27 for a dinner to celebrate his book, SPQR: Modern Italian Food and Wine.
