Graham Elliot's New Restaurant Will Be In...

Despite all the talk of Graham Elliot scouting in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, it turns out that his new restaurant will be in neither of those western locales. Word is breaking today that Elliot, and longtime Director of Operations Merlin Verrier, are opening Primary Food & Drink in Greenwich, CT this winter. It will be Elliot's first restaurant outside of Chicago.

Elliot and Verrier will spin classic American comfort food like Caesar salad, pot roast, beef stroganoff and buffalo chicken, according to a release, while focusing on "mastering basic, fundamental cooking techniques." Verrier is moving from Chicago to the affluent NYC suburb to become executive chef.

Elliot and Verrier are unavailable for comment at press time. With the closing of Grahamwich in August, Elliot now owns half as many restaurants outside of Chicago as he does here.
