Mahin, Lettuce Projects to Start Opening Next Week

More details are finally out on the Lincoln Park collaborations between rising-star California chef Jeff Mahin, former L20 chef Francis Brennan, and Lettuce Entertain You. The two projects, Stella Barra Pizzeria and Summer House Santa Monica, are set to undergo separate side-by-side openings in the former Tilli's space on Halsted starting next week, the Tribune reports. All three parties also collaborated on Do-Rite Donuts.

Summer House will be the first and open sometime next week. As one might expect, both decor and menu will revolve around a summer California beach house theme. Expect simple Asian and Latin-inspired dishes and "beach-inspired" drinks.

Stella Barra Pizzeria will be similar to Mahin's two California locations which LEYE also collaborates on. The pizza will be baked in an electric oven; also expect pastas, vegetable dishes, and bakery items. More to come before the openings begin next week.
