Bang Bang Pie Shop Serving Brunch and Lunch; Dinner Coming Soon

Photo: Bang Bang Pie Shop

Dave and Megan Miller are getting savory. The husband and wife team have launched BYO brunch and lunch service at the cult-favorite Logan Square bakery and cafe, adding biscuit sandwiches to the rotating pie selection, biscuits, coffee, and candied bacon. The sandwiches are available at brunch and lunch (until 2 p.m.) for now, but will extend into dinner hours (until 8 p.m.) soon.

"The brunch menu is doing so well that we will be extending it all day within a couple weeks," Megan Miller says. "We may add a few dinner-style sides but it will mainly stay the same with one chicken pot pie added."

The Millers hired three cooks from Boka, Alinea, and Birchwood Kitchen to execute their recipes, Megan says. The current sandwiches are ham with poached egg, pimento cheese, pepper jelly, and Three Sisters grits; house-made sorghum sausage with poached egg and grape jelly; and bacon with pepper jelly and poached egg.
