No More Oxycontin Cocktails; James Beard Nominations Open; More

WEST LOOP—CH Distillery has changed the name of its "Oxycontin" cocktail after the painkiller manufacturer threatened trademark infringement. The cocktail that replaced it? The "Cease and Desist." [Chicagoist]

EVERYWHERE—The James Beard Foundation is now taking nominations for the 2014 awards via two different sites. Check back February 19 for the restaurant and chef semifinalists, March 18 for every finalist, and May 2 for the media awards. [-E-]

UPTOWN—Pecking Order chef Kristine Subido and Benny's Chop House chef Carlo Lamagna are highlighting Filipino cuisine with a three-course family-style dinner on October 21 at Subido's Uptown chicken restaurant.
