It didn't take long for a new tenant to take over the Covo space in Wicker Park. Max's Wine Dive, which has a mantra of "Fried Chicken and Champagne? Why the Hell Not?!?," according to the release, announced a lease today for the former location of the gyro offshoot of Prasino. Covo shuttered at the end of September.

Max's serves dishes like "Nacho Mamas Oysters" (oysters and garlic aioli on wonton chips with habanero salsa); an egg sandwich with garlic black truffle aioli; and fried chicken. The website describes the concept as a "'dive' that's fun, funky, eclectic and a complete juxtaposition that captures the qualities of a casual, industrial feel with a top-notch food and wine program." They're shooting to open by summer 2014—get ready, Wicker Park.
