Tony Hu Project Coming to The Shops at North Bridge

The Tony Hu Michigan Avenue Concept has a location: 520 N. Michigan Ave. It's in the fourth floor of The Shops at North Bridge, otherwise known as the Nordstrom Building. He closed on it today, they'll start work April 1, and open by the end of the year.

Hu says he's been negotiating the space for a long time. "(The Shops at North Bridge) wanted a Chinese restaurant to attract the Chinese world," he says. Many Chinese-food enthusiasts shop on Michigan Avenue, he says, and The Shops at North Bridge have been looking to open a Chinese eatery to bring them inside and capitalize on the market constantly outside their door. They picked the right person to open it.

Also, Lao 18 is a couple months behind schedule. They were scheduled to open January 18.
