City Winery is launching "duck taco tuesdays" in conjunction with Goose Island Brewery, featuring $2 duck tacos (braised duck, cabbage salad, "guacamatillo" salso, corn tortilla) and live music, throughout January. Each event starts at 7:30 and carry a $10 admission charge, a 312 brew is included.
Meanwhile, Primehouse is hosting a one-of-a-kind Duck and French Press Soul Food Dinner. Primehouse chef David Burke and D'Artagnan founder Ariane Daguin are preparing an all-duck dinner — including dessert — on January 10. The highlight of the evening is sure to be the demonstration of the duck press, an invention that squeezes flavor out of duck meat. Tickets run $95.
