Late Nights

chicago%20cut%201-18-13.jpegDowntown restaurants and bars with outdoor patios could continue to stay open later than places in other neighborhoods under a proposed ordinance. The law would allow alcoholic beverages to be served at outdoor patios until midnight every day until Dec. 1. This extension has been proposed and approved for the past two years as a way to give the hospitality industry an opportunity to increase revenue during the warmer months. So rejoice late-night patio drinkers because it doesn't look like you'll be forced inside at an earlier hour. [RedEye]
