Is Alain's Set to Re-open Monday After Eviction Notice?

New, 5 comments

After getting served with an eviction notice on Sept 24, Alain's may be set to re-open on Monday. According to Dish, the new American restaurant with Cameroonian influence opened by chef Alain Njike and Chicago Bears Israel Idonije, should re-open Monday.

Eater has not been able to confirm the news as the number at Alain's still goes unanswered. Eater did get in touch with a spokeswoman for Idonije who said the football player was also still trying to figure out what happened. Someone at the city's eviction's unit said they don't have any further information and that once they serve the eviction, possession is then handed back over to the plaintiff, which could be the building's owner. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens on Monday.
