Bill Kim, Todd Stein, Patricio Sandoval, More Line Up for Common Threads 2nd Annual Cook-Off

On Sept. 27, Common Threads hosts its 2nd Annual Cook-Off at Fulton's on the River where roughly 35 chefs and mixologists will take part in a friendly competition creating their favorite cookout dish. With categories like in a bun, on a stick, in a shell or in a glass, guests will enjoy some whimsical interpretations from the likes of Patricio Sandoval, Bill Kim, Todd Stein Union Sushi's Chef Chao and more.

Eater got a sneak peek of what's cooking and in addition to all of the tasty bites and stiff drinks you'll get, chef Kristine Subido (Pecking Order) will offer up her country bird, which features a boneless fried chicken, shaved gouda cheese, pimento mayo, cilantro and shaved onion salad dressed with calamansi vinaigrette on grilled pandesal bread.

Boka's Carl Shelton will serve sake-cured bay scallops in a shell with green curry broth, coconut mousse, American caviar and crispy pig ear. Not forgetting something sweet Four Seasons pastry chef Scott Gherkin will offer caramel apple parfait with salted caramel macaron in a glass. Tickets are $85 ($95 at the door) and are still available online.
