Back when everyone was excited that summer was about to officially start (anyone else bummed today is the first day of fall?), Eater learned that Top Chef fan fave Fabio Viviani would open a new restaurant in River North with David Rekhson and Luke Stoioff, who own Public House and Bull & Bear. And now Dish reports that it has a name: Siena Tavern.
Back in June, Viviani said, "I'm involved so it'll be fairly Italian," which was really a no brainer. So when the 10,000 square-foot spot opens at 51 W. Kinzie in February, expect housemade pastas, Neapolitan pizzas and some recipes from Viviani's mom. Want to know more about what inspired the project? Read about the team's trip to Italy.
