Was Cal's the Bomb Target?

The owner of Cal's Bar & Liquors at 400 S. Wells claims his business was the target of a foiled bomb plot over the weekend. The Sun-Times reports that owner Mike Feirstein said he and staff noticed about 15 undercover agents with earpieces surrounding the bar and a Jeep Cherokee with a tarp draped over it parked out front. The bar fits the description of the desired target by alleged bomb suspect, 18-year-old Adel Daoud from suburban Hillside, that "it's a bar, it's a liquor store, it's a concert. All in one bundle." There were about 20 people inside the bar at the time, with more set to arrive to hear live music. Daoud is expected to appear in court today. [Sun-Times]
