FatPour Tap Works, opening today in Wicker Park, offers a new place to toss back some brews (lots of brews) while cheering on your favorite team. The bi-level bar and restaurant, which lends its allegiance to the University of Wisconsin Badgers, boasts over 40 flat-screen TVs, over 200 beers (with 50 on tap) and a two-story, glass-enclosed keg cooler.

Chef Mark Nieuwenhuis (Derby) prepares standard bar food with funky names, such as the Notorious P.I.G., a wood-fired pizza with bacon, pork butt, prosciutto, pepperoni, sausage, onion, tomato sauce; The Dirty Hipster, a balsamic-infused burger with a mushroom, onion, bleu cheese red wine ragout, arugula, roasted tomato; and The Bigg Daddy, a sandwich with shaved beef, marinara and mozzarella. An array of apps, salads and entrees are also available.

Owned by the Big Onion Group (Brunch, Derby, Irish Oak), the space, named for their 22-ounce signature frosted beer mugs, 6 ounces bigger than the average pint, also has private event area for up to 300.

FatPour will also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with entrees like biscuits & gravy, stuffed french toast and a pulled pork quesadilla.
