Following the success of their two locations—inside the Chicago French Market and at 567 W. Lake—Saigon Sisters is expanding yet again. The third location will arrive at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Galter Center (251 E. Huron) late fall or early winter.
Don't expect any revelatory changes as the 1,100-square-foot location will have a similar look to the Lake Street location (right), which was also designed by Moss Architecture. The new spot will boast a similar menu featuring banh mi, pho, spring rolls, rice bowls, banh bao and more. However, this being a hospital, they'll add breakfast service, including Vietnamese coffee and op la banh mi, which is essentially the Vietnamese equivalent to a breakfast egg sandwich that comes topped with pork and Chinese sausage.
